Research & development
The principal areas of interest relevant to research & development activities conducted by VOP CZ, s.p. are NBC defence, materials engineering and electronic warfare and camouflage equipment. Our research workers belong in the Czech R&D elite and participate in several international projects.
Our unique research facility “Kamenná chaloupka” is an example of a top level working site that performs testing of life chemical or highly toxic agents in outdoor experimental conditions or training of NBC specialists of the Army of the Czech Republic, other NATO member states armies or civilian sector special units for handling chemical warfare agents and other highly toxic substances.
In the R&D field we cooperate with the Czech Ministry of Defence, Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, national Security Authority, Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic, NATO, EDA and other organizations. Our major projects include our participation in re-armament of the Army of the Czech Republic with new armoured personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles 8x8 PANDUR II, development of AM-70 vehicle-launched bridged (70 t loading capacity) or our sophisticated proposed solution for the FUTURE SOLDIER project.
