Climatic and corrosion resistance testing
The Testing Laboratory is primarily designated to evaluate climatic and corrosion resistance of paint systems and protective coats on products supplied to the MoD sector. The Testing Laboratory is also entitled to verify the ability of paint systems to meet specific requirements of military equipment. The entitlement includes the official listing of qualified paint systems for the MoD sector.
The Testing Laboratory is entitled to test metallic materials, metallic and non-metallic inorganic coats, paints & varnishes and paint systems, preserving agents, packaging materials, engineering, electric and electronic products.
The Laboratory of testing in salt spray chamber received the accreditation of test procedures according to 25 standards, the Laboratory of testing in chamber with sulphur dioxide and general condensation of moisture has accredited procedures in accordance with 17 standards, the climatic testing laboratory received accreditation of its test procedures for compliance with 28 standards.
